Influencia de la edad en la libido sexual de receladores vacunos con fimosis artificial
Resumen
Se evaluó la influencia de la edad en la libido sexual de receladores vacunos con fimosis artificial, en la Empresa Pecuaria Triángulo 1, provincia de Camagüey, Cuba. Se examinaron 140 ejemplares mestizos Holstein x Cebú, con rango de edad entre 13 y 75 meses, desde 2007 hasta 2010. Se evaluó la libido como variable dependiente de la edad con un modelo de regresión lineal, con el paquete estadístico SPSS versión 15.0.1. La edad (39,79 ± 19,89 meses de desviación típica) tuvo influencia significativa positiva sobre la libido sexual (6,59 puntos ± 1,75 desviación típica). Hubo incremento de la libido con la edad, lo que pudo deberse al orden social y a la experiencia de los receladores más adultos; no obstante, se pueden utilizar controladamente animales a partir de los 13 meses por presentar una libido mínima aceptable para su labor, aunque deben analizarse otros efectos como la condición corporal y el tiempo de acceso al rebaño de hembras.
