Approach and scope
The magazine Transformación is a scientific dissemination body of the Scientific Information Management Department of the University of Camagüey.
The author is ethically obliged to declare any type of conflict of interest with the content that is being sent and will be responsible for the consequences that derive from the omission or violation of these rules. The journal does not assume any commitment to the data offered by the researchers, who are fully responsible for the accuracy of the information they present. A possible conflict of interest is considered to be any condition, relationship or circumstance that could vitiate the validity of the result in relation to the primary interest (quality of education with equity) for a secondary interest (economic benefit, desire for notoriety, prestige, recognition and professional promotion or further financing of research or school of events).
The author is obliged to send a communication of commitment of single sending to the magazine whose form can be downloaded from http://revistas.reduc.edu.cu/index.php/transformacion/article/view/1453. The lack of originality, the parallel delivery to other journals, or any predatory practice are grounds for immediate rejection of the article. Additionally, the editorial committee reserves the right to take other measures in relation to the acceptance of other submissions by the same author.
The recognition of the author's rights is in line with the Creative Common license assumed by the magazine (CC-BY-NC). As a result, it is possible to "remix, retouch, and create from your work in a non-commercial way. The authors will retain the intellectual right over the content, as well as the right to withdraw their article through formal communication when they desist from the attempt to publish. Once the manuscript is submitted, it can not be submitted to the consideration of any other journal or source of publication, nor presented at scientific events. Authors are required to send a formal statement of originality.
Peer evaluation process
All papers sent to the magazine Transformación are subjected to a double-blind review process (the evaluator does not know who the author is, and vice versa). The works initially go through an initial editorial review, in which it is verified that they have not been published previously or that their content has not been socialized in memories of scientific events. In the same way it verifies that the text; 1) reflect the consultation of current and authorized sources in the subject, with the presence of bibliographic entries of impact journals; 2) that the text does not contain plagiarized parts of other studies; 3) compliance with editorial standards. This first evaluation is done within two weeks. Once these requirements have been verified, the Chief Editor selects two evaluators who are external to the entity or institution that publishes the journal; they are experts in the subject with a higher level of preparation or at least presumably equivalent to that of the authors (peer). In this peer review, an evaluation of the originality and contribution of the proposal is made based on the established evaluation protocol (see ARBITRATION RULES section). The categories used are: publishable with modifications, reevaluable or not publishable. This last category supposes the definitive rejection of the article, while the reevaluable category granted by at least one of the arbitrators supposes a reworking of the article and a new evaluation by two arbitrators. The authors will receive a response from this process in no more than 60 days and will have 30 to comply with the indications and suggestions in the case of texts considered publishable with modifications. Once the authors return the modified text, the Chief Editor makes a new revision in order to verify that the criteria and signs of the arbitrators have been taken into consideration to finally complete the layout process.
Frequency of publication
The magazine is published since 2005, uninterruptedly, with a semester frequency. As of its certification by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) in 2014, it appears frequently every four months.
Open access policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free access to research helps in a greater global exchange of knowledge.
As a result, the originals are sent and the editing process is done without requiring any payment from the authors, who will keep their copyright rights without other restrictions not related to the one that implies the adoption of the Creative Common license CC-BY- NC
Readers may freely access the contents, which may be downloaded, copied or printed without having to request permission from the editor. Similarly, readers will be free to intermingle, adjust and construct new texts for non-commercial purposes from published articles, as long as they expressly acknowledge the original authors and their new creations are under a license with the same terms.
Publication expenses / Publication Charges
Transformation does not charge for sending or processing your articles.
Transformation has neither article processing charges nor submission charges.
Notice of copyright
In correspondence with the policy of open access, Transformation adheres to the above mentioned on the use of the published contents, which can only be used in the elaboration of other texts by third parties when the aforementioned explicit recognition of the original authors is made, there is no profit interest and the new text is published under the same license.
Regardless of whether the authors retain the intellectual right over the content of their results, through the formal declaration of originality and copyright, they undertake to recognize the exclusive right of publication of that text by the journal. This implies the rejection of the subsequent reproduction by the author in printed or electronic format or its placement in other sites or databases for its use; the translation of the text in whole or in part to other languages for the same purposes of dissemination; the creation of adaptations or synthesis of the content of the original article or the inclusion of versions in the original language or translated, even under another title, in repositories and other databases.
Through the letter of originality the authors make formal declaration of the original and unpublished character of its text, and of its exclusive sending to this magazine; assume full responsibility for the ideas and criteria presented; accept that the submission is subject to peer review and is subject to amendments; and express their agreement on the deadlines established in the "peer evaluation" session.
