Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Guidelines for authors

The authors are totally responsible for the veracity of the information contained in their contributions and the ethical handling of the information that they take as a reference for their proposals. Proposals for articles for publication must meet the originality, current, and format requirements detailed below. Additionally, the authors must download the letters on Originality Declaration and copyright. Both forms are available in the magazine http://revistas.reduc.edu.cu/index.php/transformacion; Once completed and signed they must be incorporated at the end of the file that the author uploads as an article proposal. By submitting these documents, the main author is confirming that the data has not been published before, that it is derived from research carried out by him and his team, and specifying the contribution made by each one of them.

The objective of the magazine Transformación is to publish scientific articles that expose primary information obtained from the execution of research projects, that make significant and novel contributions to the content of the pedagogical sciences, to the theoretical debate in this field or that systematize in an original way and developer, the previous knowledge. This implies the use of the scientific style and the precision, conciseness and brevity that characterize it, as long as the author must describe and base his results.

Are inexcusable requirements 1) The originality of the work, which means that its content reflects the final or partial result of research that has not been published before or submitted simultaneously to the consideration of other magazines or internet sites. 2) The level of update of the study of the state of the art, which will be verified in the evaluation of the content and of initial form when receiving the shipment from the existence of bibliographic entries that demonstrate the consultation of national and international journals of high impact (see Catalog of Serial Publications, for certified national journals www.seriadascubanas.com/catalogo) and the Scimago Journal Ranking for Education for international journals http://www.scimagojr.com/journalrank.php?category=3304

All originals received will be subject to peer review in double blinds. The referees of the journal are specialists of the highest qualification and are selected by matching their area of ​​expertise with the topic addressed in the proposed article. The rejection of one of the arbitrators is exclusive. The originals may be returned to the author with suggestions more than once, according to the judgment of the arbitrators on the extent to which the recommendations of the previous revision have been met.

The works must be:

Original scientific report, understood as a description of the essential results of the research and the procedures used, so that the reader can apply them or conduct a development research in other contexts following the methodology used. The original scientific reports should describe in the results section some theoretical or practical contribution to the pedagogical sciences.

Recapitulative studies, understood as the critical analysis of the conceptions that other authors have previously developed on the same object of study. In this analysis, the different points of view and perspectives must be compared, the general theoretical foundations that constitute established science must be specified, those about which there is still a diversity of opinions and, if possible, the phenomena, elements, or relationships among these for which the scientists They have not yet found a satisfactory explanation. It should be understood that it is not a compendium on different theoretical positions, but the proposal of scientific problems, which if studied should lead to the construction of a new knowledge. In the recapitulative studies, the precision of those areas of the research object that are still to be explored should not be lacking.

Brief communications, understood as the agile announcement of new findings (such as new methods, procedures and means for teaching, new plant species, the discovery of historical documents or original historical or artistic pieces). The communications must prepare the reader for the reception of the original scientific report that will give an account of the result and that is expected to be published in a later number.

Of the editing requirements

All texts will be processed in Microsoft Word 2003 or higher, font calibri 12, justified. Tables and graphs should be constructed in the Word format of the document (never pasted as images and will be identified as tables, or consecutive numbered figures.) In all cases, the text must indicate to the reader to see the table or corresponding figure The photographs (no more than three) must not exceed 60 Kb in size and will be named starting with Figure 1, Figure 2 and so on,

The articles will be written in Spanish and will have an extension of approximately 10 pages of text and no more than 15 pages of the work as a whole, including tables and figures which should appear inserted in the text next to the analysis of their content. The inclusion of non-relevant annexes should be avoided in order to understand the text as a whole. They will be written in the third person, with a preferential use of the passive voice and will consist of the following parts:

Title in Spanish and English. The one that should be concise and at the same time be the expression of maximum generalization of the content of the article, consequently, should allude to the type of essential result of the research (model, methodology, strategy, etc.), as well as to the quality that / makes it unique. Caliber 14 will be used as a font, in bold.

Author (s), institution (s), electronic address and delivery date

General information of the authors (scientific and / or academic degree, teaching category, expertise in the topic addressed, professional experience.

Structured summary in Spanish and English, which will not exceed 250 words and which will include at least the objective of the article, the main methods used in the research, the mention of the main result and the essential conclusion of the study.

Keywords (in Spanish and English). The authors must select among the terms included in the "Thesaurus of Education of the International Education Board" those that best reflect the content of their article. (See Thesaurus at http://www.ibe.unesco.org/en/unesco-ibe-education-thesaurus)

References and / or bibliographies. The critical apparatus (citations, notes and references) and / or bibliographies will be structured according to the type of document, following the APA standard contained in the Manual of the American Psychological Association, 5th ed.).

Note that the body of an original scientific memory is composed of the material sections and methods, results and discussion. Its use is inexcusable, regardless of the presence of epigraphs in the text.

Only marks for textual citations and terms in Latin or foreign languages ​​will be used. Both will always be written in italics. When the quotations do not exceed five lines, they must appear in the same paragraph and enclosed in quotation marks. In the contrary cases, it should be segregated in a separate paragraph, reducing the margin by three spaces on each side and quoting will not be necessary. In both cases the last name of the author, the page and the year must be included. Example: (García, 2006, page 28).

All the text, including the bibliography, will be written in calibri 12, justified. Only the engraving feet for photos and figures will appear with a smaller size, calibrated 10 justified. Only the generic category and the order number will be distinguished in bold type (eg, Figure 1, Table 1, etc.). The rest will be written without marks.

Communications must not exceed three pages of text, including bibliography, annexes, photos, graphics, etc. They will follow the same rules described for the articles, although it does not require the inclusion of the summary, nor the keywords. They should not be divided into epigraphs, although they should contain introductory ideas, explain the methods and procedures followed to obtain the information, clearly express the results obtained, conclusions and recommendations if necessary.

    1. Of the requirements of the bibliographic entry.

It is recommended that the authors place the bibliographic citations and elaborate the list of the bibliography in an automated way by using the options that appear in the references tab of Word 2007 or Word 2010. Its use will guarantee the strict correspondence between the authors cited and the which are finally recorded in the bibliography, as well as the adjustment to the standard. Those who do not have this facility should take as reference the examples that are placed below and meet the following elements:

- Data to be included (the first eight authors), year of publication, title of the document, city in which it was published and editor in the case of books; as well as name of the magazine, volume, number and website from which it can be recovered in the case of digital magazines.
- Use of punctuation and italics.
- Order in which the data is placed.
