Publication of the Faculty of Physical Culture of the University of Camagüey "Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz", Cuba -on-line version ISSN 2223-1773. Open access digital magazine / Open Access Journal, Double blind peer review. Its main mission is to stimulate, disseminate and develop original scientific knowledge in the sciences of physical activity and sport, through the publication of original articles based on the execution of research by teachers, coaches and researchers who make significant and innovative contributions.

 As of the year 2021, the frequency of publication is increased to four months (January - April, May -August, September -December). As of 2022, the “Ciencia y Deporte” Magazine is a bilingual publication. The new model responds to the efforts of internationalization and dissemination of its contents. The magazine's team considers that it is a way to make the quality research carried out in Cuba known to a wider audience.
